Finished my paper for science with 1,018 words. I made it and it was surprisingly easier than I thought. Quite happy about that.
Usually, I wouldn’t talk about something like this on here but I’m so aggravated and want to vent. So, my school recently (as in this year recently) implemented two new subjects to summer homework: Math and Science. Now I was okay with math, I’m good at math and I already have that done. But science? Really? That’s just going over board. And yes, I’m good at science but I have to write a 1,000 word paper on how Newton’s Laws of Motion are in place in a picture I’ve taken. That, I can even do. But how on Earth are you supposed to introduce a science paper? Introductions to papers have never been my strong suit but I am drawing a complete blank on this one. I have my picture, I know what I want to say, but I just can’t think of how to write a paragraph introducing this paper. Maybe I’ll just make it like 2 sentences but I’m not sure if I would be penalized for this… All in all I’m basically just procrastinating so I should probably get back to writing.
So this hurricane that’s coming up the east coast is supposed to hit tomorrow. Hopefully, it won’t be bad but I’m quite worried myself. Best case scenario it turns into a tropical storm. Those aren’t nearly as bad. But it could be a bad category 1 which isn’t fun. I prepared earlier today by clearing off my porch and securing the stuff from it in my garage. However, I haven’t removed my window air conditioners. I don’t think I will because my mom doesn’t think its necessary. Hopefully, she’s right.
Apple CEO Steve Jobs retired from his post a couple of days ago. And although he had a very good reason to (he isn’t well. He is currently suffering from cancer) I think he should have waited. Not to necessarily resign but to tell the world he has. Let the new CEO take over the job for him, but give Steve Jobs one last keynote with one last product announcement: the iPhone 5. It is supposedly going to be announced soon (rumors are saying September) and it would have been a great last hoora. The only problem with this is how rapidly his cancer is spreading and how ill he is. I would like to think he isn’t dying but the cancer is making it harder for him to do his job. In that case, it would’ve been great for him to do one last keynote. I myself am not looking forward to seeing how the new CEO will announce the iPhone 5. Steve Jobs was great at it and it will be hard for his replacement to live up to standard.
I have recently began listening to music and artists. They have all been recommended to me by one of my best friends, who I’ll refer to as HL. Well, HL is basically a music fanatic. She likes almost all genres of music and most artists. Although she also recommended many other bands, HL strongly recommended Falling In Reverse, Ronnie Radke’s new band. He was previously the singer for Escape the Fate, whom I have yet to listen to. However, I think Falling In Reverse is great. I love the whole album “The Drug in Me is You.” It is one of my favorite’s of all time. The first five songs (Raised by Wolves, Tragic Magic, The Drug in Me is You, I’m Not a Vampire and Good Girls Bad Guys) are great. Although there is a little screaming in them, they are mostly hardcore songs. If you know about Ronnie’s history you will probably understand who and what the songs are written about. Plus, Good Girls Bad Guys mentions a question I also have considered so that’s a plus. The next couple songs, I do have some complaints with however. Pick Up the Phone is great, although I do dislike the reference to him and a girl fighting each other (it implies abuse). Don’t Mess With Ouija Boards has a good message except for the random screaming of “DON’T MESS WITH OUIJA BOARDS!” I enjoy Sink or Swim and Caught Like a Fly as they are. Goodbye Graceful would be better with less screaming. I enjoy the Westerner as it is as well. All in all, the album is amazing. I look forward to hearing more from this band, and I will also check out Escape the Fate since they seem like they would be similar to each other.
P.S. The guitarist for this band, Jacky Vincent, is amazing. One of the best (if not the best) I’ve ever heard. His solos are amazing.
On my blog, I am going to cover six major topics.
- Video Games
Now these could be anything from opinions, to facts (and for writing, works of my own). I realize that by the time anyone reads this you might have a general idea on what I’m talking about. I don’t intend on trying to get readers until I’m set up a little more.
I’ve decided to create a super blog. It will be about everything I could possibly want to share on the internet, from music to technology to books. This ought to be fun.
